About The Burlington Park
InformationBurlington Park, 425 East Fifth Street, is a thirty-acre, modern park with numerous facilities. It includes playground equipment, the Lilly Building, the Community Building, three lighted ball diamonds with bleachers as well as basketball and tennis courts, paved walking trail, and a wooded nature area.Two picnic shelters with tables, park benches, and a large playground are also available along with restrooms. Community buildings are also available for public meetings and for rent for private parties. The Burlington Community Club has been instrumental in the evolution of this park since 1974 when the town and township bought the first tract of land. The Park is jointly owned by the town and township and is governed by a Park Board of representatives from each entity. The Burlington Kiwanis helped with the provision of picnic tables and playground equipment. The Lilly Building features:
Rental Price: $200.00 per day with a damage deposit of $100. The park is home to the Fall Festival sponsored by the Burlington Community Club. Part of the extensive park grounds includes outdoor electrical hook-ups to accommodate booths at the Festival and other outdoor events. |

Park Projects
Several entities have worked together to make improvements to the Community Building at the Burlington Park. These improvements have been accomplished over the past several years. The interior of the building was redesigned with new capet tiles, lighting and overall look, to be more modern and open. Kitchen rennovations were completed with new flooring, cabinetry and appliances. The exterior of the building has received a new roof and siding.
Burlington Township, Burlington Joint Park Board, Town of Burlington, Burlington Community Club and Building a Better Burlington, Inc., have been involved in providing financial assistance for these changes.
Grants from the Carroll County Community Foundation and Carroll White REMC Operation Round Up grants have also been utilized during these important improvements.

Park News
2024 - New Playground Equipment
New playground equipment was purchased through a matching grant received from the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority and Patronicity through their CreatINg Places initiative. The park board applied for the grant with the purpose of providing equipment that included inclusive pieces and was unique to our area. In late summer 2023, the call went out for donations. $50,000 was required to be raised in order to qualify for the matching grant. Over $50,000 in donations was received through the generous giving of community members and area businesses! All gifts, no matter the amount, were greatly appreciated. The new equipment was purchased in December 2023 and installed in early spring 2024. A special ceremony to dedicate the new equipment was held on April 13. This endeavor was a true testiment to the impact small communities can have coming together to make large impacts for a common purpose.






Dog Park
2014 - The park features a special area for dogs of all sizes. The dog park was installed in the spring and features an area for large dogs and one for smaller dogs. If you visit the dog park, please bring plastic bags to pick up after your dog.

New playground equipment was installed in 2012. This equipment was made possible through donations from the Burlington Kiwanis, Burlington Township Trustee, and a grant from the Carroll County Community Foundation. This equipment includes two slides, two climbing aparatuses, and an adult swing.
